2.75 stars. Would have made it to 3 if the hero was more appealing.May contain spoilers....Gah, too easy. Everything was just too freaking EASY. I wanted more remorse from the hero but it was lukewarm. What he did was messed up. And yea he was a stupid kid with raging hormones and all that excuses. But still, I wanted to him to feel gutted and humiliated like the h did. Unfortunately, I don't get the sense that Wyatt was that broken up over how he hurt Sadie. How he devastated her with the d-move he pulled when they were younger. Ditching her and going to screw another girl instead. Parading said girl around school while Sadie was made to be the laughingstock. Getting bullied by his new girl and others. While he stood in silence and never once protesting or defending her. But he did apologized for what he did 70% in. Thankfully. And acknowledged that he made a huge mistake. That he picked the wrong girl and suffered greatly for it. Karma did it's thang and he was regretful. But I was kinda unimpressed by then. I'm not sure Wyatt was ever on the same level of pain Sadie was in. So his apology just felt a bit underwhelming to me.I really did wished Sadie had made Wyatt groveled more. She was pretty forgiving and understanding early on. I mean, she did give him piece of her mind although she was civil and mature about it. Hehe, I wanted her to be spitting mad and shouting obscenities. But not like she really got a chance to ponder her choices or feelings much. There were peeps left and right. Whispering in her ears. Telling her to let bygones be bygones. He's not same guy from before. Forgive and forget, yada yada. I really hate this in second chance romance. All the meddling. Like honestly, she was the one that was left heartbroken. She can decide for herself and figure when is the right time. Another thing that bugged me was Cole. Why was he even introduced in this book? Lols, he wasn't even a contender or competition for the hero. Blinked and he was gone.As for Wyatt. He's far from my kind of hero. Yes, he admitted his mistakes. For being a coward and a weakling. And doing her dirty. But I am still disappointed that he wasn't shown to be more alpha and assertive. Especially when the skank ex made her reappearance and causing drama. I wanted Wyatt to unleashed holy hell on her but the guy was pleasantly nice and courteous. Why? I don't know. He owed her nothing. She was barely apologetic or ashamed of her behavior.It's sad to think if Karlie had never cheated on him (many times) Wyatt would still be engaged to her. And eventually marry the witch. This same chick that tormented Sadie in high school. And that would have been it. No agonizing about the girl that he actually did liked. But screwed over for an easy lay and popularity. Ah, but lucky him that he gets a do-over. As the h had to adhere to the rule of all second chance romances. That no other man will do unless it's the jerk that crapped over her heart. Again, really wished Sadie would have given Cole or even Levi a slight chance. Meh, Wyatt had it easy.
